MUSIC IN MICHIANA

The Michiana area is home to a number of class bands and musicians, as well as some of the most prestigious musical instrument manufacturers in the world.  The traditionally favored Country, Rock and Oldies music style is gradually changing with the resurgence of ethnic music from the Irish and Polish communities, plus with the recent influx of Hispanic peoples to the area there is a growing appreciation of Latin Music, with Salsa and Merengue bands as well as Mariachi bands from Mexico.
